WEST VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL YEAGER AIRPORT RECEIVES FUNDING FOR INFRASTRUCTURE

On Friday, March 11, 2022, it was announced that West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW) is expected to receive over $3.1 million in Congressionally Directed Spending thanks to the Fiscal Year 2022 omnibus appropriations package.

CRW would like to thank Senator Manchin and Senator Shelley Moore Capito, who secured the spending measures across West Virginia.

The $3.1 million will be utilized for infrastructure improvements, specifically the construction of an additional general aviation apron along taxiway Charlie. This construction will allow for CRW to accommodate additional civilian and military aircraft.

“We are thankful to have allies like Senator Manchin and Senator Shelley Moore Capito who share our vision of moving West Virginia forward by making advances and investments in aviation and education,” said Airport Director & CEO Nick Keller. “These improvement projects are crucial as the funding will go a long way as we invest in projects that will upgrade and modernize our airport.”

CRW again thanks Senators Manchin and Capito for their hard with the Appropriations Committee on behalf of West Virginians.
